We are excited to be offering the finest quality tungsten wedding bands at prices that are surprisingly low-sometimes less than half the price charged in jewelry stores. However, don't confuse our low prices with inferior quality! All of our Moissanite Bridal tungsten carbide rings are made with a superior nickel-binder alloy instead of being made from pure tungsten or with a cobalt-binder alloy. Nickel-binder alloys are superior for several reasons:Tungsten Rings Men

1. Nickel-binder tungsten carbide is hypoallergenic, extremely hard, chemically inert, and therefore will not scratch, oxidize, cause rashes, or irritate the skin.

2. When cobalt is combined as a trace element with certain substances like nickel and tungsten, it becomes a reactor that can irritate the skin as well as oxidize the tungsten, ruining the exterior appearance of the wedding band. Cobalt is a wonderful metal, but cobalt binders are not a good choice for tungsten wedding bands.

3. Pure tungsten lacks the hardness of tungsten carbide and can scratch quite easily. Since it is not scratch-resistant or nearly as hard and durable as tungsten carbide, it is missing one of the best properties that makes tungsten carbide wedding bands a smart choice.

We caution you against buying from a jeweler who doesn't specify that their tungsten carbide wedding bands are made with a nickel binder alloy. Many stores don't disclose which binding alloy they are selling because they don't know. If they don't know, it's possible you would be buying a band made with pure tungsten or with a cobalt alloy, neither of which delivers the outstanding qualities customers want when choosing a tungsten carbide wedding band.
