You Can Now Own Some Of Westworld's Old Timey Music Covers

Westworld set its tone from the very first episode. The full soundtrack for Season One of Westworld has been made available to stream online. Maeve insists that Felix take her upstairs; montage of them walking through multiple hallways where employees are working on the inhabitants of the park; Maeve becomes entranced by a video of WestWorld and sees an image of herself with her daughter.

The video also featured executive producer Alex Kurtzman praising the iconic original Star Trek theme composed by Alexander Courage. It's a great way of reminding the audience that: ‘Wait, this is a theme park, you're not really back in time,' Djawani explains.

The new science fiction series, which sees human guests visiting an expensive and expansive Wild West theme park populated with androids, arrives on Oct. The composer, also known for his work on Game of Thrones,” recently spoke out about how the renditions of the modern songs are a great fit” for the series.

Westworld, for example, has an exquisite theme song that could stand on its own. Here is a great Pitchfork interview with the Ramin Dijawadi where he talks about the show's music in more detail. This trailer features Kanye West's Runaway” plunked out on the piano and sources tell me that Nirvana's Heart-Shaped Box,” among others, will also appear on the Season 2 soundtrack.

"What I love about that is it just comes out of nowhere and you don't expect it at all," Djawadi, who also scores Game of Thrones, said in an interview with Pitchfork "You see the settings and the way people are dressed and even though you know it's robots and it's all made to be modern entertainment, you would think the people in control would make everything authentic, including whatever is being played on the piano.

Perhaps the quality and production value of each song has improved with technology, but there has been no major revolution on the sonic end of opening themes fun shows have always had upbeat or quirky theme songs just as dramas have always had melancholy or intense theme songs.

Designed by Westworld Composer Ramin Djawadi Plays The Main Theme Song Watch behind "Westworld," the opening credits to this Marvel Netflix series drips (literally) with tension, mystery and history, and is all red, which is pretty much how the titular hero "sees" the world.

But however season two eventually pans out and whatever new mysteries are thrust upon us, at least we'll always have that brilliant theme song. This visual is aided by composer Ramin Djawadi's tremendous score, which transitions from a Philip Glass-like piano ditty into a sweeping orchestral composition moments before.

For those who are not children of the 1990s and didn't experience Nirvana during their peak of popularity or those who are unfamiliar with the song, here's the original video from the MTV era. By contrast, the Game of Thrones model teases the changing content of its episodes in the theme song.

Hell, shows could even add a mad-lib style part of the theme song that captures the previous episode's events, like Netflix's A Series of Unfortunate Events. I don't know if you're going to hear marching bands playing the Westworld Main Title Theme” anytime soon like they do the Game of Thrones Theme,” but in it's own way it's even more perfect.
